The Champion HC1 Data Collector works with total stations, GPS receivers and robotic surveying equipment using long range Bluetooth or external radios connected through the 9 pin serial port. Built-in mapping grade GPS gives GIS applications the 1.5 meter accuracy they desire at a fraction of the competitor's price and an integrated 5 megapixel camera allows for asset verification. The internal GSM modem offers seamless wireless internet access where GSM service works well and the built-in WiFi allows connections through hotspots where GSM service is unavailable.
The Carlson Surveyor 2 is even more rugged than its popular predecessor — IP68 water & dustproof; shock resistant. Still just 2 pounds and the QWERTY keyboard speeds data entry.
Comes with a larger, brighter display screen with a higher resolution, easier-to-read color display with scratch-resistant glass.
Available options include an integrated camera, 3G modem, and GNSS receiver.

Upgrade of the Long Range Bluetooth transmission up to 3,000 feet from a GeoMax Zoom90 robotic total station with the addition of an external antenna on a Champion HC1 handheld data collector. This upgrade requires the Champion HC1 to be modified internally in our office. Short range Bluetooth will still operate with the internal antenna, but the long range Bluetooth will require the external antenna after the upgrade. Note that the 3,000 ft. range exceeds the tracking distance of a 360 degree prism.
